Two simple Questions:

How many of us are receiving in their email boxes hundreds emails a week from companies or individuals who offer services or products?

How many of us are targets for telemarketers?

Two facts:

I have red a few days ago about a NZ citizen, who is living in NSW In a few years he has setup a company and now he is under FBI Investigation: all company assets have been taken, he was fined with US$ 8,18 m and there are millions of complains against him all overt the world. He was advertised and sold over the internet pharmacy products which were not compliant with USA standards, but on them was written that they are compliant with these standards.
For this article it is not significant his origin or name of the company or what he sold. The most relevant is the fact that he setup a huge chain of websites marketing oriented which have as main target viral campaigns in order to sell above products all over the world.
And he 100% achieved his target.

I have started my business at home, web developer, free lancer. There is nothing bad. To be trusted I displayed my phone (landline) on my website. There is nothing wrong at all you may say. Than I subscribed for free to a few very big advertising system in Australia. My assumtion was that it is good. It was NOT! Shortly I begun to receive phone calls, sometimes after 8pm. People with strange accent usually want to talk with “the owner of the business”. Initially I was polite asking them do not call again, then I was frustrated and furious.
I have red an advert by chance, an oversees company, telemarketing company, introduced themselves as having very insistent and aggressive personnel which is trained and which never give up in front of anyone over the phone.

My reactions:

I have just setup my email client so all I do not want to read is deleted automatically. About my landline, after more than 6 months of fighting with telemarketers I just gave up.
I am not using that number and shortly it will be disconnected.

Other people reactions:

As long as there are millions of complains about pharmaceutics products and as long as the company assets which is under investigation is going over US$ 800 m, it means the viral marketing and telemarketing have fantastic results.

It may be a conclusion

In business soemne can deicede to make easy money so he will lie the customers, take the money and eventually say “Sorry mate”.

The big problem is in the customer garden. He is aggressed verbal and via internet and he is pushed to “Buy NOW”. He is told exactly what he wants to hear. Most of the time he cannot decide if the product or the service is really good because he has no technical knowledge and most of the time he will pay. Sometimes he may be lucky and sometimes he may not. Let’s thing about millions of complains.
